Standard Windows speed-key combinations

Using your computer keyboard is faster and more efficient than using the mouse. At the least, you should know and use these shortcut key combinations:

  • <Ctrl> a - Select the whole document
  • <Ctrl> c - Copy whatever is selected to the clipboard
  • <Ctrl> x - Cut whatever is selected to the clipboard
  • <Ctrl> v - Paste what is in the clipboard to the cursor location
  • <Ctrl> p - Print
  • <Ctrl> z - Undo
  • <Ctrl> w - Closes the current window
  • <Ctrl> q - Closes the current application
  • <Alt> <Tab> - Switch between open Windows applications
