Launchy is a free windows utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager.
Launchy indexes the programs in your start menu and can launch your documents, project files, folders, and bookmarks with just a few keystrokes!
The default Launchy configuration will search in a handful of directories for Windows shortcut files. You can add other file types, which Launchy will open using their default associated application. For example, add .xls file extension (for Excel workbooks) and any Excel file in any directory Launchy scans will be available just by typing the file name.
